The Secret Garden

I have been enchanted by walled gardens ever since reading Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden as a child. Imagine my delight when I visited this beauty today on a magazine assignment. Tucked away on a country property, it took my breath away…

I’ll be sure to share the article once it goes to print.

Home Sweet Home

To think only days ago, I was on a blissful family holiday…

Mitchell Plateau, WA

Still, I’m happy to be back home, addressing a busy work calendar. Magazines are arriving in the post, containing recent articles in their glossy splendour. The spring/summer edition of SA Gardens  has my story on the Mount Gambier Country Garden Club’s  20-year anniversary at Aberfoyle, a Kongorong property owned by Max and Barbara Lightbody.  They had an exquisite luncheon and a well stocked trading table. Nobody wanted the vintage Liberty scarves but me…slightly ecstatic!

All in a day’s work

There’s nothing like a 400km+ round trip in SA’s Limestone Coast all in the name of work. Especially when you have the opportunity to visit gardens like this…on a farm, tucked well off the road in the middle of a paddock….

And wineries with a cool coastal vibe.

I have some exciting things in the pipeline with these two Limestone Coast gems.
